LUCIANA ZARAMELA / EDITORIAL STRATEGY & DIGITAL MARKETING

Communication
is my craft.

I turn complex subjects into clear, relevant content people can use.
My work spans journalism, editing, team leadership, content strategy, growth, campaigns and multimedia — especially across science, technology, innovation and health. And an honestly unreasonable amount of creativity.

01 / Canaltech — reporting & editing

Nearly two decadesof journalism.

Canaltech / 2012–2025

I founded the Health desk and later edited Science, covering everything from the pandemic to space, with climate and the environment part of the beat. Alongside fellow editors, I trained and guided reporters; the desk led the site’s audience for months.

Pitches, sources, angles, writing, editing, publication and performance: I worked across them all.

Case study / Health desk

A desk that became a go-to — and brought in readers.

The challenge

Build a consistent, specialist health beat inside a technology publication.

How it took shape

I built the desk, set its editorial priorities and standards, edited stories and worked with the team through publication.

The outcome

The desk led Canaltech’s audience for months. The stories below show the coverage; the editing credits show how much of it was a team effort.

Linked Canaltech stories are in Portuguese.

Beyond the byline / editing

Every story has an editor behind it.

The byline belongs to the writer. My work included shaping the pitch and argument, fact-checking, tightening the copy and seeing the story through publication. Three examples:

Every offer has a place in the story.

The map. The products and clinical content belong to Cognitiva / Dr. Paula Lemes. I structured the hub and messaging across Insight, the eBooks, Dupla Excepcionalidade na Prática and COMETA.

The work. Positioning, pages, copy, creative, Meta Ads and an evergreen funnel. Campaign analysis informed the next tests; I reworked COMETA’s communication with the team.

Products and clinical content: Cognitiva / Dr. Paula Lemes. Communication and marketing: Luciana Zaramela. I scripted and edited the videos in this case while working with Cognitiva.

Insight Cognitivo / entry offer

The right signals.

I reworked the commercial messaging for an existing product: sales page, copy, creative, Meta Ads, campaign analysis and new tests. The challenge was to reduce friction without flattening a clinical subject.

There’s more to explore.

I helped build the page for a deeper learning offer. The copy maps the learning journey; the clinical content and method belong to Cognitiva.

Cognitiva collection / eBooks

One way in. Three volumes.

The three-book collection became an entry offer in the product journey. Its page lays out the learning path and points to deeper resources; Cognitiva owns the scientific content.

Creative, testing & learning

Creative / test & learn

A good creative, to me, is one that works harder.

Scientific rigor.Clear communication.

Research, papers and conversations with experts all make it into the story. The challenge is to keep the science sound, even when the format only gives you a few lines.

Stories have
a soundtrack and a frame.

A story can be heard, too.

In the studio, behind the mic or with a product in hand, it comes down to the same question: what story does this subject deserve?

06 / About

Same perspective.
More ways to communicate.

I started out in science, studying dentistry and earning a master’s in biomechanics. That’s where I learned to read research with a pencil in hand. In journalism, the pencil became a story pitch, an interview, an edit — and the question no one had thought to ask yet.

At Canaltech, I founded the Health desk and worked on editorial decisions from first idea to publication. Pages, campaigns and data came later. The format changed; the ways to examine a message before putting it out into the world kept growing.

Today, I work across editorial strategy and content. I like tough subjects, solid sources, sentences that hold up through edits, and ideas that still make sense once they meet an audience.
